THE HISTORY OF DUBLIN BY TIMELINES

We have prepared a timeline of events that we feel were significant in Dublin's history and development. You will find the progression separated by century, beginning with the 1700's and ending with Dublin's designation as a city in 1985. It is a challenge to narrow to a few items those that deserve inclusion in the timeline of a community's history, and we certainly have omitted items some will say are important. We have tried to include people on whom we have some historic records, church history which played an important role in the community, government-both village and township, and schools. And along the way we include colorful items and events that we hope readers will find interesting about the history of our settlement, village, and town on its way to becoming the City of Dublin.
